Stressing substance over style, our congregation reflects a wide variety of music.
The Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation with special worship music each Sunday morning and presents a cantata at Christmas. The choir is made up of individuals who are high school age or older and who enjoy singing. People with varying levels of music proficiency are in the choir and others are always welcome to join.
Practice is held on Wednesday night following the Prayer Service in the Sanctuary --usually 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
Congregational singing is an important part of worship. Music allows us to expresses otherwise unutterable praises to God and affirms the corporate unity of the body of Christ because it is something the entire congregation does together.
Musicians with various instruments and vocalist lead the congregation in contemporary songs and traditional favorites. Over time you are likely to experience all kinds of music; traditional hymns, African-American spirituals, bluegrass songs, and contemporary hits.
A contemporary band, "Lordsong," and a bluegrass band, "Earl and the Boys," are two of the most recent organized bands.
