welcome guests

  • what to expect

Look for our greeters near entrances to guide you to where you want to go. There is also a Welcome Desk just inside the main sanctuary entrance. The canopy entrance around back is especially handy in bad weather or for folks with limited mobility. We encourage all people to explore or pursue a joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Together we study, pray, preach, and sing; and we welcome you to our fellowship.

  • what we're all about

Our pastors offer Insights, an orientation to the life and ministry of First Baptist to all newcomers and everyone connected to our church. If you are new you can find out what we're all about. Sessions are scheduled upon request.

  • what to wear

Bryson City is a vacation destination. Casual dress is quite acceptable. Some people dress up, others do not. Some people come in vacation attire. Many dress casually or wear work clothes to evening or midweek services. Our goal is to pursue Christ who looks more on our hearts than on our outward appearance.

  • what to do with small children

The church provides safe nursery facilities for small children. Our greeters will be happy to escort you to the appropriate classrooms for all age groups.

During worship we encourage older children to fully engage in the service. If needed, younger ones exit worship after the Children's Story and participate in nursery activities.
